A brand that’s unapologetically honest, relatable and—let’s not beat around the bush—hilarious! After being voted the nation’s favourite supermarket for several years, we were keen to elevate ALDI’s success even more across social.
The Love Aisles
Previously, Aldi used Love Island memes direct from the show, but there were whisperings of another Cuthbert style lawsuit… so we quickly nipped that in the bud and tried something different. For the duration of Love Island 2023, we crafted our very own Love Aisles to share across Twitter reflecting the cheeky TOV of the show.
I was 1 of 3 copywriters who shared responsibility for ALDI’s TOV. Roles included writing daily reactive Tweets (X), coming up with ideas for campaigns, writing scripts for TVC ads and writing social copy for BAU and recruitment posts.

I was part of a team that came up with monthly BAU content. Usually, it consisted of jumping on trends and thinking of new innovative ways we could connect with our audience.
